We can make a difference.  Please help our lost and frightened family pets by signing this petition. 
 
At present, the Garland Shelter spouts how they work so well with rescues and the public to kindly adopt as many animals as possible.  They brag about their volunteers.  If you'd like to volunteer to help out at the shelter, go up there and ask.  Count the seconds until you are shown the door.  The Shelter has missed every benchmark of performance for the fiscal year 2010, yet they brag about how well they've done.  Family pets are dying at a record rate, and in the gas chamber as often as the shelter can get away with it.  The shelter likes the gas chambers because they are efficient, NOT because they are humane.  Once the gas chambers have disappeared from the Garland Animal Shelter, only then will the staff have the incentive to work with volunteers and the public to re-home family pets.
